Meet Jane
EFT and Qigong Specialist
Jane
A little bit about me …..
Hi I’m Jane I have lived with multiple sclerosis for over 20 years so I really understand how difficult it is to live with a chronic health condition. I trained to be an EFT practitioner and a Qigong teacher because they have both been invaluable in helping me heal my MS symptoms and improve my fatigue. My goal is to help as many people as I can take control of their health by introducing easy self-care practices into their daily life.
I love spending time outside and whenever I have the chance, I particularly enjoy walking and spending time by the sea.
What is your education and training?
I am an accredited EFT Practitioner with EFT International and a 200-hour Small Universe Qigong teacher with Long White Cloud Qigong. Links below.

Do you work with children under 18?
EFT and Qigong are suitable for all ages and I have a current up to date DBS certificate.
How do I know if you and the therapy are right for me? How will we assess my progress?
I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This is a valuable opportunity for us to see if we are a good match, and for you to learn one specific strategy that you can use to get started straight away. After each session we will review how you would like to move forwards and what we can do to get the most out of these sessions for you.
How long is each session and how often? How much does it cost?
Sessions are usually 60 minutes and my fee for this is £70. Some issues will only require one or two sessions to resolve, whilst others may require a series of sessions. We will discuss this after your first session and will review regularly.
Is therapy online or in person?
Sessions will be via Zoom or if local to Beaconsfield, Bucks I can offer face to face consultations.
What can I expect in my first session?
Prior to your first session I will send you a new client form. During your first session we will discuss this, and what you would like to achieve whilst you are working with me. I will teach you how to do Qigong, EFT or both depending on your preference and you will leave with some easy daily self-care practices that are easy to fit into your busy schedule.
What if I have to cancel?
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible and we can usually reschedule. If you cancel or postpone within 24 hours of your appointment the session fee is payable.

What is EFT?
EFT is a brief self-applied stress reduction technique often referred to as ‘tapping’ as it involves tapping with the fingertips on acupuncture points on the hands, head and chest. It combines elements of cognitive therapy along with physical stimulation of acupuncture points to address emotional and physical issues. Developed in the 1990s by Gary Craig, one of the great advantages of EFT is that it is a gentle technique you can learn to use yourself to support you through your everyday life. EFT is also useful as a complement to any conventional medical treatment.
How does EFT Work?
EFT works by deactivating both the Amygdala, which is the part of the brain that manages stress, and the Hippocampus which is responsible for memories. Both of these play a role in the decision-making process with regard to our warning signals and letting us know when we are in danger.
Tapping on these acupuncture points whilst focussing on accepting and resolving the negative issue sends an electromagnetic impulse to the brain releasing the emotional charge connected to that memory or problem. The effect of this release, is that our subconscious programming is changed to physically alter our brain, energy system and body all at once. This capacity to rapidly reduce the stress response is fundamental to the speed and effectiveness of tapping. Reducing stress helps you make better choices and when you make better choices your body responds.
What are the Benefits of EFT?
In recent years EFT has been subjected to lots of clinical trials to test how it affects the mind and body. Research has now shown that this tapping technique can lower cortisol levels, a stress hormone, and improve the immune function which can ultimately improve physical health. I have used EFT successfully with a range of conditions including general fatigue, stress and anxiety, sleep issues, panic attacks, back pain, endometriosis, multiple sclerosis, breast cancer, brain tumours, and many more!
EFT is a simple and powerful tool that can help you take control of your emotions and live a happier, healthier life. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, pain, or health issues, EFT offers a safe and effective way to address them and help you feel more balanced.
What evidence is there that it works?
Since the first research paper to mention EFT back in 2002, there have been more than 290 papers looking at EFT and related topics in the field of ‘Combined Somatic and Cognitive Therapies’ to which EFT belongs. Since 2017 there have been in excess of 70 Random Controlled Trial research papers, (RCTs) 5 meta-analyses in the field, most of which relate to EFT directly.
These studies have shown that EFT has positive effects in reducing stress and supports anxiety reduction. In addition, EFT treats depression and is an effective treatment for PTSD as well as positively impacting 72 genes many of which improve immune responses and decrease inflammatory responses.
